When Should Schools Refer a Student?

 

Fire Safe Futures is appropriate when a student:

  • Plays with lighters or matches

  • Sets small fires on campus or at home

  • Is increasingly curious or fixated on fire

  • Uses fire in response to stress, anger, or crisis

  • Exhibits risky behavior that concerns staff

How to Refer a Student

  1. Contact the student’s parent/guardian

  2. Complete the referral form

  4. Our team handles all the next steps
