How We Work Together

FSF coordinates with county behavioral health departments, Medi-Cal providers, and private clinicians to ensure youth receive appropriate support.

Our team may make referrals for youth who need:

• Trauma-informed therapy

• Crisis intervention

• Family counseling

• Behavior or emotional regulation support

What Providers Need to Know

• Fire-setting behavior can be linked to stress, trauma, grief, impulsivity, or unmet emotional needs.

• The FSF Academy is not a substitute for therapy but complements behavioral health treatment when appropriate.

• FSF uses YFIRES-aligned best practices and follows nationally recognized intervention standards.
